Manchester United ‘join Arsenal in the battle for £27m-rated Roma star Cengiz Under as they eye a cheap alternative to Jadon Sancho’
- Manchester United like Jadon Sancho but he would cost them more than £100m
- They are unlikely to be able to splash out that much for him in coming window
- Now United and Arsenal are eyeing up Cengiz Under as a possible purchase
- Here’s how to help people impacted by Covid-19
Both teams are keen to improve their attacking options during the transfer window, with United taking a particular liking to Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
But Dortmund want more than £100m for the England international and that could be beyond United’s budget in the summer after the coronavirus crisis hit club finances.

Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mikel Arteta are considering Under as a cut-price option.
Under, who plays on the right wing, is likely to cost around £27m – which is significantly cheaper than Sancho – and could battle with both teams’ existing options in the position.
He has not had a brilliant season in Serie A, scoring three goals and providing no assists.

The 22-year-old was also sidelined early in the season with a hamstring injury and has taken time to recover over the campaign.
Roma are thought to be keen to move on the Turkey international – with Everton also credited with an interest in him.
Arsenal have also been linked with Justin Kluivert from the Italian side, while they are thought to be keen on Ryan Fraser – whose deal with Bournemouth expires at the end of the month.
United have been linked with a potential move for Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati.
