Roberto Mancini has asked the Italian FA to set up friendlies against England and Germany, according to reports.
Italy are meant to have lucrative a trip to Qatar in March that will include two friendly games as part of their preparations for the upcoming European Championships.
But Mancini does not believe that will test his players enough ahead of the competition.

And, according to Corriere dello Sport, he has therefore asked that the Italian FA arrange games against tougher sides.
Mancini has picked England and Germany as the ideal opponents.
Italy are now trying to set up a clash against England for March 26 at Wembley – one of the two slots announced on Tuesday – and a match with Germany on March 31.
England will take on Denmark on March 31 in a game that was revealed earlier this week.
Mancini also wants Serie A to finish a week early in order to give his players more time to recuperate before Euro 2020.
He is hopeful a game against England can be arranged for the open slot on March 26
