Jonathan Bond is one of the group of players at West Brom who sees their current contract expire once the current campaign is completed – and he’s been linked with a number of Championship clubs.
Bond, along with Chris Brunt, Gareth Barry and Lee Peltier, will become a free agent at the end of the season, which could bring to an end his two-year stay at The Hawthorns should the Baggies look to freshen their goalkeeping department in the window.
Bond, 27, joined on a free transfer after leaving Reading in the summer of 2018, and agreed a short-term deal ahead of the restart of the season to cover the remaining matches.
Swansea, Bristol City and Blackburn have all been linked with moves for Bond, who has never made a league appearance for Albion, but has made seven appearances in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup in that time.
Ali Al-Habsi has already departed the club, while Alex Palmer – a successful loanee at Plymouth Argyle this season – has been given a new contract and could have more of a look-in into first team affairs next term.
Blackburn and Bristol City will be in the Championship once again next season, while Swansea still harbour hopes of claiming the final play-off spot available with two games to go.
