Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has insisted that there will be no major signings for the La Liga champions this summer.
Zinedine Zidane‘s side were confirmed as the winners of the Spanish top-flight on Thursday night having defeated Villarreal 2-1 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
But if the Los Blancos manager is hoping for some additions this summer then he will be disappointed to hear his president’s comments who claims the coronavirus pandemic has had a detrimental impact on the club’s finances.

Perez told El Transistor on the back of wild title celebrations: ‘No (there won’t be big signings this summer).
‘The situation is really bad. It’s hard to ask the players to take a pay cut to help deal with it and then make signings. That can wait.
‘Madrid will sign the best again when the situation changes.’
The LaLiga champions are known for making a ‘Galactico’ signing every summer in which one of Europe’s biggest stars moves to the Bernabeu.

One of the names they have been linked to is Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz and Perez’s comments will be a major boost for Chelsea who have been competing with Madrid to sign the German international .
