Players have begun moving ever since contracts began to expire on June 30.

While the majority of players of signed short-term extensions to complete the prolonged season, several chose to refuse new deals.

In an extended and rescheduled transfer window, as a result of the global pandemic, clubs are beginning to make dips into the market.

The rearranged window will open on July 27 and close on October 5.

The ongoing issues of the coronavirus pandemic have meant a delay to all the usual football schedules.

Having been approved by Premier League and EFL member clubs, the ten-week window will open straight after the season’s conclusion.

This will allow Premier League and EFL clubs to continue buying, selling or loaning players from each other.

Any extension to the ten-week window will be only for domestic transfers – excluding transfers between top-flight clubs.

The extension will conclude on October 18 and will allow EFL clubs to continue upgrading their squad.

An extended deadline will enable Premier League clubs to carry out their business before the October 6 deadline for Champions League and Europa League registrations.

The Premier League joins a number of its European rivals in having confirmed an October 5 closure to the window.

Transfers can be completed after the deadline if the relevant paperwork is submitted prior to the window closing.

Championship and EFL clubs can have up to eight loan players on their ranks; however, only five can be selected in a matchday squad.
