Luka Jovic’s nightmare spell at Real Madrid is moving closer to an end with Napoli in talks over a possible transfer, according to reports.
The 22-year-old made the move to the Bernabeu from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt in a £62million deal last summer but he has struggled in Spain.

The Serie A outfit are reportedly prepared to meet Real’s demands of £46million for the striker.
Jovic is out of favour under Real boss Zinedine Zidane after scoring just two goals in 26 games since joining the club in June 2019.
His last goal came in a 4-1 victory over Osasuna back in February after breaking his duck last October.

Jovic was an unused substitute in Real’s 2-1 victory over Villarreal last Thursday, which saw them seal the LaLiga title.
The Serbia international played 29 minutes of their 2-2 draw with Leganes in their final league game of the 2019-20 campaign on Sunday.
That cameo role could prove to be Jovic’s last appearance for the LaLiga giants, although Real are still in the Champions League, which resumes next month.

Jovic has also fallen foul of Zindane over his behaviour off the field. He was on the end of a backlash in March when, with the coronavirus pandemic raging, he flouted lockdown to visit his girlfriend back in Serbia.
Jovic was accused of ‘doing 100 per cent to ruin his own career’ by a former coach following the breach, with even the Serbian Prime Minister fuming at the striker as he faced jail time for the offence.
