Leeds could break West Ham hearts as Marcelo Bielsa reportedly identifies

According to a report from the Sun, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is ready to hijack West Ham United’s attempts to sign Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be targeting young and hungry players from the Championship this summer. He said so himself.

And bringing a talented attacking midfielder to the London Stadium will surely near the top of the Scot’s wish-list.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa will be in the same boat. The Argentine uses a fairly small group of players throughout the season. So some new faces must be brought into Elland Road this summer.

And the Sun claims that Leeds are ready to outbid West Ham for Eze. Bielsa has allegedly identified the 22-year-old as the creative spark that his side will need in the top flight.

The west Yorkshire outfit allegedly informed QPR in January that they will bid for Eze IF they gain promotion to the Premier League.

And with their top flight status now secure, Leeds look set to move for the talented attacking midfielder.

Stats

Eze has been simply sensational for the Hoops this season.

The 22-year-old has racked up and impressive 14 goals and eight assists in 46 Championship outings for QPR (Transfermarkt). He has undoubtedly been one of the standout players in England’s second tier this term.

The Sun claims that Leeds or West Ham could sign Eze for around £20 million.

The Hammers have been chasing the 22-year-old for months. And the east London outfit thought they could pick the QPR ace up for a bargain fee because of the global health crisis.

But with Leeds reportedly ready to spend big and blow West Ham out the water for the young Englishman, David Moyes and co could be a set to miss out on Eze in what would be a huge blow for them.
