Did Havertz’s sister confirm his transfer to Chelsea?

The English press keeps linking Kai Havertz to Chelsea. The 21-year-old playmaker has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2022, but that does not prevent him from being directly linked with English football.

The German youngster’s outstanding performances have attracted scouts from Europe’s top clubs, and the Londoners are one of them.

The daily Express reports on the reaction of Havertz’s fans when the player’s sister apparently confirmed his transfer to the Blues.

Apparently, the German’s sister posted a “move to London” on social media, words that served to set the internet on fire with Havertz’s alleged arrival at Stamford Bridge.

After ongoing rumours, the transfer could close in a matter of weeks, as Frank Lampard himself reportedly already gave the go-ahead, and the club has already gotten in touch with the player.

With Lampard as one of the attractions to land in London, Havertz himself reportedly told Bayer his intention to leave the club this summer, once the season ends officially.

Resigned to his departure, the Germans have estimated the purchase price of Havertz at about 100 million euros, an amount that London is not willing to pay, reducing the figure to 77 million. It is expected that both clubs will reach an agreement for a slightly lower figure.

The German international has made 148 official appearances for Bayer and scored 45 goals. This season, in his 43 official matches, he has found the net 17 times and has provided nine assists.
