Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas has left the club for a move to Europe, the club has confirmed.

Thomas has been with Victory for the past nine seasons but has now reportedly secured a deal to play in Denmark. 

“For me the move to Europe presents a great opportunity for my career, I’m excited but there’s also a touch of sadness,” Thomas said.

“I’ve been at the club for nine years and it will always hold a special place in my heart.”
