Spain v Turkey Euro 2016 preview: Line up prediction, kick off time, TV channel,

Both Spain and Turkey head into Friday night’s Group D clash knowing they have more to give after experiencing contrasting fortunes in their opening Euro 2016 games.

Spain sit joint-top of the group going into the second round of games, after Gerard Pique’s late goal saw them beat Czech Republic 1-0, while Turkey find themselves bottom after a disappointing loss to Croatia by the same scoreline.

As usual, Vicente del Bosque’s Spainish side dominated possession against a resolute Czech side, but failed to take their chances before Pique got them out of jail, while Turkey’s Barcelona star Arda Turan knows he and his team mates need to improve quickly, as he prepares to face a Spanish side which includes a number of his club colleagues.

Ahead of Friday’s game, Sportsmail provides you with a guide to everything you need to know going into the contest.

VENUE

Spain and Turkey clash in the Stade de Nice on Friday night, which was also the scene of Poland’s 1-0 Group C victory over Northern Ireland.

The stadium, home of four-time French champions OGC Nice and known as the Allianz Riviera outside of Euro 2016, was opened in 2013 and cost £180million to build.

It holds a little over 35,000 and is set to host global superstar Rihanna’s world tour later this summer.
