Manchester United are continuing to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund in a bid to land Jadon Sancho.
The German giants have set an August 10 deadline for the transfer of the England winger to be done, before they head to their Swiss pre-season training camp.
However, that is something of a moot point, as they will say yes to the transfer, regardless of when United meet their £105million valuation.
According to Bild, an instalment plan – completely normal in such big-money deals – and the exact upfront figure is currently being negotiated over and is the source of back and forth between the two sides.
It’s claimed that right now, United are seeking to hand over £61million now, with a further £44million in the next two years.
That would see United pay out another £26.5million in 2021 and the remaining £17.5million in 2022.
That is something, it’s stated, the German side “would not say no to”, given it ensures the cash is forthcoming, and pays enough into their accounts right now to more than buy a straight replacement.
