Celtic’s Patryk Klimala has been called-up to Poland’s under-21s squad for their upcoming Euro 2021 qualifiers.
The Hoops striker has been in decent form recently, notching his first competitive goal for the club in their 5-1 curtain-raiser against Hamilton Accies. He also came off the bench against Kilmarnock in their 1-1 draw.
Klimala also had a good pre-season and appeared to impress manager Neil Lennon. One man he certainly did earn praise from is Czesław Michniewicz, Poland under-21s coach who has added the frontman to his squad for games against Estonia on September 4 and Russia on September 8.
Poland have had a promising start to their group stage, sealing 10 points from a possible 15 to sit second in the standings of Group 5.
Klimala has already scored two goals from his five appearances. Including a winner away to Latvia and a strike against Russia in Yekaterinburg last October.
