Atalanta star Robin Gosens was rewarded for an excellent season and will join up with some of Germany’s exciting younger stars such as Kai Havertz and Leroy Sane for the nation’s next matches.
Gosens is also not the only new face, though, with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus and Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann also getting the nod.
Bayern Munich may have charged to the UEFA Champions League title recently, but Low left out all of their star players for the fixtures.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich, who provided the assist for the solitary goal in the final, were all excluded.
“With one eye on the European Championships next summer, I think it’s important that the players can chill out and recover properly, both physically and mentally, before starting the new season with their clubs,” Low was quoted as saying, according to the German Football Association’s official website.
