Tottenham live stream: How to watch the Watford friendly, Everton Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2020/21 pre-season continues as they travel to face Watford on Saturday at 3pm.

Spurs are about to embark on their first full season under Jose Mourinho, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino late last year, and have already played three pre-season friendlies.

All three saw Tottenham come away victorious, starting with a 3-0 triumph over Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thanks to a brace from Son Heung-min and Ryan Sessegnon. Spurs followed that up with another victory against lower league opposition, this time in Championship Reading, winning 4-1 thanks to strikes from Dele Alli, Son, Erik Lamela and an own goal from Omar Richards.

Just one day later, Tottenham dispatched Birmingham City in a much closer game, winning 1-0 with Steven Bergwijn scoring the only goal of the game. Now, Spurs travel to Vicarage Road to face recently relegated Watford, without a number of their stars due to the international break.

Tottenham player in focus: Dele Alli

There’s currently a lot of conversation surrounding the goings on at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though it is largely down to the contents of the new documentary following the club. One of the players in focus in the documentary is Dele Alli, who may just have the most important campaign of his career coming up.

When Alli joined Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015, he was regarded as a player with massive potential, and he wasted little time in showing just why on the pitch. But over the past few years, the midfielder appears to have stagnated. From being directly involved in 63 goals in his first two seasons, scoring 37 and recording 26 assists, including a wonderful 2016/17 campaign, Alli has has managed just 13 goals and seven assists over the past two years – though injuries haven’t helped.

Alli was one of the slow starters under Pochettino last season, and although he improved slightly following Mourinho’s arrival, he was unable to keep his place in the England squad – losing out to the more impressive midfielders playing for Spurs’ rivals.
