Arsenal player responds when asked about rumour – HITC
Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has told L’Equipe that he wants to stay at the club.
The France international forward has also expressed his anger at speculation that he could be used in a deal to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
The Express reported last month that the Gunners could use the 29-year-old in a part-exchange offer to bring in the Ghana international defensive midfielder from Atletico, as covered by HITC Sport here.
Earlier this month, well-known journalist journalist Fabrizio Romano said that the Gunners have considered using Lacazette in a deal to sign Partey, as quoted by The Daily Mail.
Lacazette has said that if the speculation is true, then he is not happy about it, and has made it clear that he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Lacazette told L’Equipe, as translated by Football.London: “If this is true, no, it does not please me. But what matters is the choice of the coach, his confidence.
“He’s the one who makes the team, not the managers upstairs in the offices, and I know I have his confidence.”
The forward added: “I am at Arsenal, I signed a 5-year contract to progress & win titles. I have another 2 years. I am determined to stay.”
Arsenal should Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette has done well for Arsenal so far, and the France international also scored in the opening game of the Premier League season against Fulham on Saturday.
The Frenchman clearly wants to stay, and the Gunners should keep a forward who scores goals and is determined to succeed at the North London club.
