Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Alex Telles transfer plea to Man Utd board

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is urging Manchester United not to risk the arrival of Brazilian defender Alex Telles for £6million.

Porto are demanding £18million for the left-back – but the Reds have so far refused to go beyond £12million for a player who has less than 12 months on his contract.

But with Diogo Dalot travelling to Italy to seal a one-year loan move to AC Milan, Solskjaer will be frustrated if United miss out on Telles.

The 27-year-old wants to move to Old Trafford after spending the last four years in Portugal.

And United have told him they will sign him for free next summer if Porto refuse to budge.

But Solskjaer wants the player now.

Telles has also played for Galatasaray and Inter Milan after beginning his career in Brazil with Juventude and then Gremio.

Solskjaer has allowed Dalot to move to Milan after telling the 21-year-old he has no future at the club.

But the emergence of Brandon Williams has sent him further down Solskjaer’s pecking order.
