Why Everton can maintain their flying start

With seven wins in a row, Everton have enjoyed an impressive start to the new season and HITC have pinpointed three factors why they reckon the Blues can keep up their form.

They highlight how Carlo Ancelotti’s side do not have the distraction of European football and that the deadline day signing of Ben Godfrey no longer leaves them light at the back.

However, perhaps crucially, they also mention the “winners in the ranks” that Everton now have.

They say:

Ancelotti and James Rodriguez are winners. They’re used to being at huge clubs where they have to get a victory every week.

That attitude can rub off on the Everton players, and change the mentality of the club.

They won’t see this good run as a flash in the pan; they’ll want it to carry on all season long.

For as long as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is scoring goals, Everton have got a chance of winning matches. This run can carry on for months to come.
