No Alexis-style deal for World Cup winner

ESPN reports that Manchester United have informed Paul Pogba that they will not sanction a bumper pay rise to keep him at Old Trafford.

Having finally got Alexis Sanchez off their books, the Red Devils will not be handing out any more big-money wage packets such as the £400,000 per week the Chilean was making.

It is said that United are ‘relaxed’ about Pogba’s contract situation, with his current deal running until 2022, while the player himself faces a fight to re-establish himself in the starting XI.
