Man United U18 0-1 Chelsea U18 highlights and reaction
Manchester United have suffered defeat in the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup against Chelsea.
The game was at a neutral venue after fears the competition would not be completed as a result of lockdown restrictions.
United – who have lifted the trophy a record ten times – facde Chelsea looking to book their place in the final against Manchester City.
The Reds added a host of exciting young players to their academy over the summer but only players registered for last season’s competition are were eligible to play.
Chelsea started brightly and United were fortunate to not concede during the opening 30 minutes. The Reds grew into the game heading into the interval but an early goal from Chelsea killed their momentum. Byran Fiabema was found by Valentino Livramento who tapped into the United net.

The Chelsea scorer Fiabema appears to have injured himself while celebrating, which is going to temper his delight if he can’t make the final that Chelsea may be playing in on Monday.
United will curse the timing of Chelsea’s goal, particularly after they ended the half so strongly. With Dillon Hoogewerf absent, they are restricted to raw options to bring on in the attack.
