The 24-year-old has a buy out clause of £125million but Valencia will consider offers for considerably less as they look to keep the club afloat amid the financial ramifications of the Covid pandemic.
Gomez, who has 19 caps for Uruguay, has scored three goals this season in ten appearances after notching 11 last term.
Though the statistics do not suggest he is prolific, he is highly regarded as one of the best forwards in Spain and a recognised threat in the box, however, some suitors have reservations about his workrate off the ball.

Mikel Arteta is eyeing attacking reinforcements amid Arsenal’s alarming form in front of goal
Arsenal have watched him over the past two seasons as have the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham. Wolves are considering a number of options following the fractured skull suffered by Raul Jimenez. They have had to assess what strikers could fill in for the Mexican who was discharged from hospital at the weekend.
They will explore what possibilities are available on loan but Gomez is a player that is also on their radar.
Wolves have still to resolve the future of winger Adama Traore. The £75m-rated Spaniard has yet to agree terms on a new contract and they are wary of offers coming in January. They also want to find a buyer for Patrick Cutrone who is struggling on loan at Fiorentina.
