It’s been a really good week for Liverpool. Being the second-placed team and getting that last-minute goal and then sticking away seven goals away from home at a difficult place.
The Tottenham game was excellent and for us to win that, you’ve seen what it’s done psychologically to Tottenham. It’s harmed them.
The comments from Jose Mourinho have harmed them as well. He’s saying the wrong things again.
I’m surprised they’ve only got one point from the last three games. Liverpool have taken advantage and laid down the law.
Four points for a win?
Everyone played well against Palace, every single player played well. They were all eight out of 10 plus.
What a performance, especially away from home. It’s like waiting for a bus and they all come at once.
The last four or five away games, we’ve had no luck at all with decisions and one thing or another, with the exception of Fulham, and it all came together to fruition.
We had to weather a few dodgy moments, which you’d expect because Palace are no mugs, but the finishing was top-rank. I think we only had nine shots on target and seven went in. That tells you how good it was. They were clinical, absolutely clinical.
It was a great performance. It was like four points gained there because after the debacle at Villa, our goal difference was awful. Those seven goals are almost worth a point. At the end of the season, if it came down to goal difference, those seven goals could be the all important thing.
It’s been a great week and couldn’t have gone much better to be honest.
Hard luck, Hendo
Jordan Henderson is inspirational and his goal against Palace was brilliant. He’s a fantastic captain and he’s grown into the role.
To be nominated for Sports Personality of the Year, that in itself in fully-deserved and he’s unlucky not to win the main prize.
