Andrea Pirlo is looking to bring the soon to be 38-year-old former Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella back to the club as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
Quagliarella – who currently plays for Sampdoria – represented the Old Lady between 2010-2014, making 84 Serie A appearances and scoring 23 goals.
It is believed Pirlo has contacted the player to see if a return to the Allianz Stadium would be on the cards after his contract expires in Genoa.

Quagliarella spent four years at Juventus before leaving for Sampdoria in 2016. He has since enjoyed his most prolific goalscoring form – scoring 79 goals in 171 appearances.
Quagliarella’s performances have caught the attention of Pirlo, who – according to Gazzetta dello Sport – is preparing a potential swoop for the Italian.
Quagliarella’s contract at Sampdoria is set to expire in June 2021 and the forward was expected to agree a contract extension with the club.
However, given Juve’s recent interest, Quagliarella may now decide to see out his career in Turin instead.
Should Quagliarella agree terms at Juventus, he will be looking to add to the three Scudetti and two Supercoppa Italiana he has already won with the club.

Quagliarella isn’t the only forward that Pirlo has his eye on. Former Tottenham man Fernando Llorente is said to be on the manager’s wish list.
Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik has been linked with a move to Juventus. However, Milik’s price tag may prove too much for Pirlo’s side.
Juve are also keeping tabs on Papu Gomez at Atalanta after the Argentine international publicly fell out with Gian Piero Gasperini.
