Spurs fans react to Nicolas Gonzalez talks reports – The Boot Room


A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Athletic this week concerning Nicolas Gonzalez.

Gonzalez scored 14 goals to fire Stuttgart to promotion last season. And he remains in fine form this term, scoring five times in 10 Bundesliga games.

He is a player capable of playing in a number of attacking roles, including as a striker. He scored a penalty and provided a superb assist in their most recent win.

And according to The Athletic, there is a chance that he could be on the way to the Premier League at some stage in the future.

The report suggested that Spurs have opened very early talks regarding a potential move for the 22-year-old. It is stated Tottenham are looking at the youngster ahead of the summer.

The Athletic does suggest that Juventus are also interested. And Stuttgart will reportedly be looking for a fee of around £27.1 million.

It must be noted that Jose Mourinho has since distanced himself from the reports. As noted by Football London, he suggested that he was not a player on his radar.

But there are plenty of supporters hoping that they do indeed make a move in the coming months. Several are seriously excited about his potential. And they feel that he could be an inspired signing if anything happens.
