Alli has been linked with a move to the French champions all month and that has only ramped up in recent days following Mauricio Pochettino taking over the reins their.

And Romano, taking to his Twitter account yesterday evening, claims that it is indeed Pochettino who is pushing to get the deal for Alli done, with the player also said to be open to leaving to play games.

Pochettino worked with and enjoyed success in partnership with Alli during his spell with Spurs. Playing off Harry Kane, there’s an argument to be had that ‘Poch’ got the best from the England midfielder.

But having slipped down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho and struggling for any minutes, Alli could well see him reunited over in France with his former boss.

TBR View: The more this goes on, the higher the probablity seems of a deal

It seems like all parties are putting the wheels in motion to get this deal done. PSG obviously want Alli, while the player himself is now said to be pushing to leave and will be looking to press the right buttons.

Surely, too, there’s also an element of acceptance from Mourinho? He opted not to bring him on once again against Fulham this week and it looked like a final nail in the coffin type moment.

Obviously, Spurs’ loss could be PSG’s gain.
