Fabrizio Romano says Daniel Levy holding Dele Alli’s Spurs to PSG move up – The

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Daniel Levy is holding up Dele Alli’s move to PSG, despite Jose Mourinho being open to the deal.

Speaking on his Here We Go Podcast, Romano confirmed once again that Alli is pushing to leave but it is Spurs supremo Levy who is holding up any deal for the midfielder to move to France.

New PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing Alli to the club, with Romano claiming that he ahead of Christian Eriksen in terms of favourable new signings for the former Spurs boss.

But Romano claims ‘everyone is waiting’ for Daniel Levy. There is apparently no issue or disrespect from the player towards the club but he is looking to get out and play regular football.

Alli has dropped down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho. He wasn’t included in the squad for the win over Sheffield United in what was almost a final nail in the coffin from the Spurs boss.

TBR View: Levy digging his heels, the deal will probably still happen

We saw a similar situation last yeat when it came to Christian Eriksen. Levy hung on in there until Inter agreed to pay the fee he wanted.

There might be a similar issue here. Spurs probably want some sort of loan fee for Alli and they’ll also want to see his wages covered.

However, the longer is lingers, the less time Mourinho has to sort a replacement if he was to to try and get one. One way or another, though, it appears Alli is on his way in January.
