Despite having what can only be described as an indifferent season at Tottenham, Alli clearly still has his backers, and they were vocal on Twitter after hearing this update.
Indeed, there were plenty of exciting Spurs fans on social media after hearing Alli will start on Thursday.
We can only hope that he makes the most of this opportunity as a player of his talents shouldn’t be struggling to break into the starting XI and looking bereft of confidence.
Fingers crossed Alli does indeed get a start and manages to impress on his return to Europa League action.
